Implant Education Company (“Implant Education Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides hands-on dental implant continuing education to licensed dentists from our training center in Phoenix, Arizona. This policy explains what information we collect through www.implantedco.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
By using this website or submitting a form on it, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the site — you are always welcome to call or text us instead at (602) 730-1676.
What This Policy Covers
This policy covers information collected through this website and the email and text messages we send in connection with our courses.
It does not cover the treatment records of patients who receive care during our live surgical courses. Those patients are patients of the treating clinical practice, their information is governed by HIPAA and that practice’s own notice of privacy practices, and none of it is collected through this website.
Information You Give Us
We only collect what we need to answer your questions and enroll you in a course. Depending on which form you use, that includes:
Course catalog request
- Your name and email address
Contact form
- Your name and email address
- Your phone number, if you provide it
- The course you are interested in, if you select one
- Any question or message you choose to write
Course registration
- Your name, email address, and phone number
- Your practice name
- Your dental license number and the state that issued it
- The course and course date you select, and your payment option
- For live surgical courses, your acknowledgment of the temporary Arizona dental license requirement
Payment Information
All payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number, expiration date, and security code are entered on Stripe’s secure checkout page and are never transmitted to, processed by, or stored on this website. We receive a record of the transaction from Stripe — such as your name, email address, the amount paid, the payment method type, and the last four digits of the card — so that we can confirm your seat and issue receipts. Stripe handles your payment details under its own privacy policy.
Information Collected Automatically
Like most websites, ours collects some technical information as you browse:
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages dentists visit, how they arrived, and which courses draw the most interest. This includes your approximate location (city level), device and browser type, referring website, and the pages you view. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects your IP address; we have not enabled Google Analytics advertising or remarketing features.
- Conversion events. We record when someone completes a registration, completes a catalog request, or downloads the course catalog, so we can measure whether the site is doing its job. These events are tied to an anonymous analytics identifier, not to your name.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request information, including IP addresses, for security and reliability.
- Embedded video. Testimonial videos are hosted on YouTube. When a page containing a video loads, YouTube may set cookies and collect viewing data under Google’s privacy policy.
How We Use Your Information
- To send you the course catalog and the information you requested
- To answer your questions about course fit, dates, tuition, and travel
- To process your registration, collect tuition, and reserve your seat
- To send you course confirmations, travel and lodging details, agenda updates, and reminders before your course
- To guide you through the temporary Arizona dental license process when your course includes live patient surgery
- To verify that registrants are licensed dentists, as our courses require
- To issue continuing education certificates and maintain the CE records we are required to keep
- To send occasional announcements about new courses and open dates, which you can stop at any time
- To improve the website, our course offerings, and our service
- To meet our legal, tax, accreditation, and recordkeeping obligations
Your Dental License Number
We ask for your dental license number and licensing state for three reasons: to confirm that registrants are licensed dentists, because our courses are open only to licensed dentists; to issue your continuing education credit accurately; and, for live surgical courses, to support your temporary Arizona dental license application.
We treat your license number as confidential. We do not publish it, sell it, or use it for marketing. It is stored in our registration records and our email platform, is accessible only to the staff who need it, and is shared outside our organization only as described in the next section.
Email and Text Messages
When you register for a course, we send transactional messages you cannot opt out of while you are enrolled — confirmations, travel details, license instructions, and course reminders. These are part of the service you paid for.
Marketing emails about future courses are separate. Every one includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately without affecting the course you are registered for. Our email platform records whether messages are opened and which links are clicked, so we know which information dentists actually find useful.
If you give us your phone number, we may call or text you about your registration or your inquiry. Standard message and data rates apply. Reply STOP to any text message to stop receiving them.
When We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We share it only in these situations:
Service providers who run the site for us
- Netlify — hosts the website and receives form submissions
- Stripe — processes tuition payments and payment plans
- Brevo — stores our contact records and sends our course emails
- Google Analytics — measures website traffic and conversions
- YouTube (Google) — hosts our testimonial videos
- Adobe Sign and our electronic signature provider — handle the Arizona license application and the course registration agreement
Each of these providers may access your information only to perform its function for us.
Regulatory and clinical requirements
- The Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners, when you are applying for a temporary Arizona dental license to treat patients during a live surgical course. This is initiated by you, on your own application.
- The host clinical facility for a live surgical or mentorship program, to the extent needed to credential you to participate in patient care at that location.
- Accrediting organizations, in connection with continuing education recordkeeping and audits.
Legal and business situations
- When required by law, subpoena, or a government request
- To establish or defend legal claims, or to protect the safety of participants, patients, or staff
- To our accountants, attorneys, and insurers, who are bound to keep it confidential
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of the business, in which case your information would remain subject to this policy
Cookies and Your Choices
This site uses cookies for analytics and for basic site function. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics on every website you visit by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Blocking cookies will not prevent you from browsing the site or registering for a course.
Our site does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals, because no common standard for honoring them has been established.
How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep information only as long as we need it:
- Course registration and CE completion records — at least seven years after the course, to meet continuing education recordkeeping, accreditation, tax, and insurance requirements.
- Payment records — retained by Stripe under its own retention schedule, and by us as required for tax and accounting purposes.
- Catalog and inquiry contacts — until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your record, or after an extended period with no engagement.
- Analytics data — retained in Google Analytics according to the retention setting on our property.
Security
We use industry-standard protections, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the entire site, encrypted transmission of every form submission, and payment processing handled entirely by Stripe so that card data never reaches our systems. Access to registration records is limited to staff who need it.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information such as Social Security numbers or patient records through this website or by email.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, opt out of marketing communications, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia, and a number of other states have these rights under state law.
Because we do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is nothing to opt out of in those categories.
To make a request, email us at scottlauer@implantedco.com or call (602) 730-1676. We will verify your identity before acting on a request and will respond within the timeframe your state’s law requires. Note that we may need to retain certain course and CE records even after a deletion request, where the law requires us to keep them.
Do Not Send Us Patient Information
This website is not a secure channel for protected health information. Please do not submit patient names, radiographs, photographs, chart notes, or any other patient information through our forms or by email. If you need to discuss a specific case, call us and we will arrange an appropriate way to review it.
Children
Our courses and this website are intended for licensed dental professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to Other Websites
Our site links to third-party websites, including our hotel partner’s reservation system, the Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners, and implant manufacturers. We do not control those sites, and this policy does not apply to them. Please review their privacy policies before providing information.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our courses, technology, or legal obligations change. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting registered dentists will be communicated by email.
